May 29th, 2009

Here's an orchid for today's image of the day . . . the background you see in this is actually an abstract painting I did and have hung in my dining room. I love orchids for their shape and simplicity. They are very nice to have around and make for great subjects.

This was shot with my Nikon 70-200 on the D2x mounted on a tripod. Lit with a single TD5 Spiderlite at an 8th of a second. ISO 100.

I'd also like to take a moment and thank fellow blogger, The Clay Muse, for her feature from yesterday. If you haven't caught it yet, check it out here: http://theclaymuse.blogspot.com!

  1. oh, Orchids, they are so pretty, sadly all I can do is kill them, along with most greenery!
Very nice shot as always, and your welcome!
